Thereby the following effects are taken into account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>acoustic characteristics, operating status and performance of the machine or the device respectively<\/li>\n<li>fluid properties such as composition, flow, temperature gradient, corrosiveness<\/li>\n<li>permitted pressure drop<\/li>\n<li>available installation space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Design and manufacture of mufflers<\/h4>\n<p>In cooperation with the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, we use <a href=\"\u201chttps:\/\/www.akustikforschung.de\/en\/leistungen\/maschinenakustik\/schallabsorber\/metallische-hohlkugelstrukturen\/\u201d\">metallic hollow sphere structures<\/a> as a self-supporting absorber material for special exhaust silencers for combustion engines.<\/p>\n<p>In combination with high-temperature-resistant alloys, this special absorber can be used in the immediate vicinity of catalytic converters, where the exhaust gas heats up to approx. 1000 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<h4>Testing of mufflers<\/h4>\n<p>Subsequent to the acoustic design of exhaust silencers and suction mufflers, first pre-measurements can be carried out &#8211; without major design effort &#8211; by means of a modular muffler kit directly on the machine or the device respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the innovative measuring system <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akustikforschung.de\/en\/produkte\/schalldampfer-prufstand-aed-1400-acoustitube-hightemp\/\">AcoustiTube<sup>\u00ae HighTemp<\/sup><\/a> allows the measurement of the transmission loss of exhaust silencers in situ for near-service conditions and temperatures up to 600\u00b0C. The measurement results can be processed further using the software <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akustikforschung.de\/en\/produkte\/software\/schalldampfer-software-aed-8001-acousticalc\/\">AcoustiCalc<sup>\u00ae Silencer<\/sup><\/a>, e.g. to calculate the effectiveness of a complete exhaust system.<\/p>\n<p><!--contentpartdivider--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4844\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a
